How to donate
Books
Any donated collection materials must be in good condition and the donor must be aware that items that are not useable in the collection will be placed in the Library’s ongoing book sale. We do not accept donations of encyclopedias or textbooks. All materials are accepted as per our Collection Development Policy.
Money
Receipts are given for donations of $10 or more.
Memorial Donations
You can support your library by considering a memorial donation to celebrate a life, a birthday, or a special event. Also consider the library in your estate planning. Please note: Severn Township Public Library is a registered charity. Monetary donations of $10.00 or more will receive a tax receipt.
Sponsor a program
The Severn Township Public Library offers a variety of programs such as the Summer Reading Program, to encourage school-aged children to read through the summer and the Reading Buddies Program, for young struggling readers. Local service organizations and individuals have been supportive of these ventures through monetary donations. We welcome any assistance to promote literacy development!
